We are indeed privileged to announce that the 5th annual conference of Musculoskeletal Society (MSS), “The association of Indian Musculoskeletal radiologists“ is being organised at “Spring Club”, Kolkata from 15th -17th Sept’2017.
Musculoskeletal radiology encompasses all imaging modalities in its spectrum from radiographs to high resolution MRI. Much of its growth relates to the development of new modalities of imaging giving a clear reflection of diseases in rheumatology, orthopaedics and sports medicine.
The Indian “Musculoskeletal Society” was launched in January 2012 under leadership of Prof.Kakarla Subba Rao, Dr.Mahesh Prakash and other highly motivated founder members, to provide a platform for the exchange of knowledge in a rapidly advancing field of musculoskeletal radiology.
The 5th National conference of MSS shall be the first national conference in MSK radiology in eastern India.With more than 400 years of history, “The city of Joy” Calcutta or Kolkata as it is now called, had been the capital of British India till the year 1912. Kolkata is the best example of both the old and new, the orient and the occident, with a happy amalgamation of different cultures.
From Sir Ronald Ross, C.V. Raman, Rabindranath Tagore, AmartyaSen and Mother Teresa, Kolkata has found five Nobel laureatesand diverse fields of their contribution to humanity. Satyajit Ray,one of the first Oscar winners in this country hailed from Kolkata.
We are indeed privileged to announce that legends in MSK Radiology from USA, Europe, Southeast Asian countries and India have agreed to grace the occasion and share their experiences and knowledge. The conference will offer an opportunity for Radiologists, Physicians of associate specialties and members of Trade and healthcare industry to learn, share ideas and research findings, discuss new developments and techniques as well as establish new friendships.
